Connect

Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another.

- Hebrews 10:25

Important Note: Most groups meet during school terms and have a break during holidays to allow people to rest and reinvigorate. This also allows you to start, stop or change groups as your needs change. The term dates for 2009:

Term 2: Monday, 27 April - Friday, 10 July; Term 3: Monday, 27 July - Friday, 02 October; Term 4: Monday, 19 October - Friday, 18 December

Groups

We have a variety of types of groups which are described below. For details of what groups are on each week check out EVENTS which lists each weeks activities.

Accountability Group

Accountability groups believe that the mandate of Matthew 28:18-20 was given for all believers. These life transforming groups of 2-3 (same gender) people meet weekly or fortnightly for those who are serious in being made into disciples and to being held accountable to their walk with and growth in Christ.

The groups are not co-ed as there is a need for complete honesty and transparency during the confession of sin which requires that the groups not be mixed. There is no curriculum as by design, these groups force the participants to discover the Word of God by themselves, with only the Holy Spirit and one another to guide them. Complete confidentiality is expected based on Proverbs 25:9-10.

Bible Study Group

Bible Studies are run based on a 5W Cell Group model:

  • Welcome - to create a safe, caring and comfortable atmosphere conducive to hearing, sharing and caring
  • Worship - to connect with and turn our focus toward God
  • Wonder - to recognise and celebrate what God is doing in our lives
  • Word - to consider how God wants to connect with us and to work in our lives
  • Works - to work out our connection with God by ministering to and with each other and those who are not yet a part of the group.
