The purpose of our spoken English group is to help those who have a basic knowledge of the language to improve their spoken English. It is also our hope that through the group, we will make newcomers to Australia feel welcome.
We follow a program to ensure that the individual language needs of each participant are systematically addressed.
There is no charge for attendance. The group is staffed by tutors from Church in the Marketplace and led by a trained teacher.
When: Every Tuesday and Wednesday, 4pm – 5.30pm

How do I make a difference?
Volunteer as a tutor to work one on one or in small groups with participants. No teaching experience is necessary and you will receive guidance on all activities.
This is a good fit for people who have good people skills, an appreciation of other cultures and are able to communicate clearly in English.
